These chicks are flown direct to Homer so they arrive at our store between 24 and 36 hours after hatch, compared with the 60-72 hours through the post office. This gives them a much higher survival rate.

We at Dunlaps’ are introducing one of the world’s first mystery egger chickens. Our Rainbow Egger is a part of Centurion Poultry’s Vario Ovo project. This bird was developed over the last decade to meet the growing demand for a wide egg color variety all under one breed. Birds feather out predominately white or off white, sometimes with black splotches throughout. Being crossed from a wide array of breeds over the years; temperament of the Rainbow can vary from semi-flighty to moderately tame depending on care. They are fairly active, making them great foragers. Chicks hatch out solid yellow or yellow with black splotches and have yellow legs. For anyone out there looking for an excellent producing bird with a layer of mystery we encourage you to give them a try! Possible Egg Colors: White, Brown, Dark Brown, Green, Blue, Or Pink
