A study published in Poultry Science shows that free range organic fed DE produced heavier birds, that laid more eggs with better feed efficiency.

The birds fed DE for 100 days laid 91 eggs compared to the control group that laid 81. These eggs were also heavier and had thicker shells than the controls.

This study found that DE was also a significant barrier to parasites and insects.

Diatomaceous earth provides a broad-spectrum of naturally occuring chelted minerals which include calcium, magnesium, potatssium, zinc, copper, iron, selenium and phosphorous.
